Quick start
Welcome to WorkZeal! The video shows how the platform is organized inside: the workspace menu, switching between applications, and calling the AI assistant. Below is the same in text, followed by a checklist of things to do in the first few days.
How the platform is organized
WorkZeal is built like a construction kit: each application is responsible for its own task, but all of them are seamlessly connected to each other.
Workspace menu
In every application, there is a blue bar on the left with your workspace menu. By default it holds a standard set of applications, but the lineup adapts to you: you can add any of them, such as Email, Documents, Finance, and the rest.
To change the lineup, click the bottom button of the bar, the drop with a +. This is More: it opens a list of the remaining sections.

The pin to the right of the name pins the section to the bar: green means the section is already pinned, gray means it is not. From the side menu, a section works in a limited mode: only part of its features are available, and the full version opens separately.
Full version of applications
All applications are launched from the top left and the top right: click ⚬⚬⚬ and select the one you need.
An application pinned to another application's side menu through More is a showcase, not the whole service: only Dashboard and List are available there. The data is the same, but the other sections of the service and its own features do not work there. Documents will not have Sales, and Finance will not have Plan vs. Actual or Budget.
So if you opened a section from the side menu and could not find the button you need, go to the application itself and repeat the action there. Nothing needs to be transferred, the database is shared.
What is inside each application
When you open an application in full, you get all of its sections, listed in the blue side menu on the left:
| Application | Sections in the side menu |
|---|---|
| CRM | Clients, Tasks, Deals, Activity log |
| Documents | Documents, Sales |
| Finance | Transactions, Plan vs. Actual, Budget |
| Chat | Chat, Quick reply templates |
| Email, Mailings | |
| Warehouse | Products, and with inventory tracking enabled also Stocktaking, Turnover, and Reservations |
| Analytics | Sales, Finance, Marketing, Productivity, Forecasts |
| Projects | Sections will appear later |
| Automation | Sections will appear later |
| Marketing | Sections will appear later |
The first section is usually named the same as the application itself: in Documents it is "Documents", in Finance it is "Transactions". This is the section that lands in another application's side menu when you pin the service through More.
Warehouse is the exception: its set of sections depends on the Settings → Products → Warehouse mode toggle. When it is off, only the product catalog remains; when it is on, stocktaking, turnover, and reservations are added. Learn more in Warehouse and Products.
How to tell where you are
There are two signs: the icon in the top left corner and the address in the browser bar.
| Where you are | Icon | Address |
|---|---|---|
| In CRM | CRM logo | crm.workzeal.com |
| In Finance | Finance logo | finance.workzeal.com |
The section itself looks almost the same in both cases. Compare the "Transactions" heading in the two screenshots:
The address starts with crm., and on the left is the blue CRM menu with the pinned Financial transactions section.

The address starts with finance., and the icon and menu on the left are its own, finance ones. Here the application has all of its features available.

Artificial intelligence ✨
Click ✨ to open your personal assistant, Lucy. She will write an email, come up with ad copy, suggest how to reply to a client, or structure a task. Just ask a question.
Warning
Lucy does not answer questions about working inside WorkZeal. There is a separate support assistant for that, Zeela.

- Perform that action in the system and make sure the trigger fired
Artificial intelligence
Connecting AI models to the system is a separate big topic, which we cover in the AI solutions section.
