How to install the chat widget on a website to communicate with website visitors

Go to Settings - External chat - Website widget

General

Click the Add button
Enter any button name. You can create several widgets for each of your websites, so the name will help you tell which chat is installed on a specific website.

Click the chat form to expand the widget's appearance on your website. Here you can write a greeting, a short text and the first phrase that will welcome your client

at the second step, you can copy the code and paste it into your website.

All other changes you make to the widget settings in the future will automatically take effect on your website too.

Other channels

The widget is not the only source of requests: messages from social networks and messengers arrive in the same chat. Each channel is connected separately; the instructions are collected in the Social networks and messengers section:

How to handle requests from all channels is described on the External chat page, and ready-made replies are in Response templates.
