Plan vs. Actual: profit and loss statement
Note
The Plan vs. Actual section is still under development. It is already in the blue side menu of the Finance app, second after Transactions.
The profit and loss statement, also known as the P&L (Profit and Loss Statement), is an integral part of management accounting. It shows how much the company earned and where it lost money, and lets you make timely decisions aimed at growing the business.
What will appear in the section
- the company's profit and loss statement;
- cash gap forecasting;
- planning for any period of time, plan vs. actual control, and tracking of financial goals.
What is available now
Until the report is released, the money picture is put together by the Transactions section:
| Where to look | What you see |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Income and expenses for the period as tiles, including your own conditions via the ➕ button |
| Charts | Structure and dynamics of income and expenses broken down by month, category, account, and other fields |
| Category directory | The "operating" flag on a category, which is what will go into future reports on the composition of operating costs |
Planning of income and expenses for a period is in the Budget section, which is also in preparation.
