iCloud
Apple does not let third-party programs into the mailbox with the regular Apple ID password. For WorkZeal to receive and send messages, you need to complete three steps: enable two-factor authentication, create an app password, and connect the account with that password.
Step 1. Enable two-factor authentication
Without it, Apple does not let you create app passwords.
- Sign in to the Apple ID page https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage
- Open the Security section and look at the Two-Factor Authentication line.
- If it is turned off, turn it on following Apple's instructions https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204915
Step 2. Create an app password
On the same Apple ID page, in the Security section, click App-Specific Passwords — Generate Password… and give it a name, for example WorkZeal.

Copy the password from the window: it is shown only once, and letter case matters.
Apple's instructions on app-specific passwords: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204397
Step 3. Connect the account in WorkZeal
In WorkZeal, open Settings — Email — Add — iCloud, enter your email address and the app password from step 2, and click Continue.
If something went wrong
When you enter the login and password, an error appears:
Alert
Error of Autification on IMAP serverWrong account name and/or password. The server responded: MBN00000002 NO [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication Failed.
Meaning: authentication error on the IMAP server. Wrong account name and/or password. The server responded: authentication failed.
This happens when the regular Apple ID password was entered in the password field instead of the app password. Go back to step 2, create an app password, and enter it in the WorkZeal email settings.
